Sharing lessons from my tragic experience

I was a fire victim.
It happened while I was an undergrad at the University of California at Berkeley. My apartment burned down while my roommates and I were at the university recreational sports facility. Little did I know within an hour of leaving our home the only thing left owning was the gym clothes on my back. It was absolutely disheartening, terrifying, and yet surreal.
