Dupe for the Tati Beauty Blendiful?
Lately there has been a buzz about applying primer, concealer, and foundation using a face puff with the a microfiber soft texture.
This isn't a new concept but it has been given life by the new product launch of the Blendiful by Tati Beauty.
I happen to love using my Foundation brush, but I'm open to trying something new.
So when I heard the Blendiful has the same texture as the Makeup Eraser, which is a soft cloth product that can remove makeup by simply saturating it with water, I realized I have a similar product. I happen to have these makeup puff rounds with the same texture to the Makeup Eraser. And I had been using this for a few months now and I had been impressed!
Now what if they can apply my makeup too, just like the Blendiful?
I decided to give it a try. Using my makeup rounds, I started blending in my The Ordinary primer, my E.L.F. concealer, and The Ordinary foundation.
So did it work?
It did, and it looked okay. But in comparison to the video tutorials of the Tati Blendiful, my makeup round puff was more than likely sub-par.
It was a nice surprise, however, to realize that foundation can be evenly applied by a cloth. The only caveat is familiarity.
I am so attached to using a foundation brush, that using a puff will definitely take some getting used to. At least I know there is an alternative product that can apply makeup.
So have I found an absolute dupe to the Tati Beauty Blendiful?
No I have not.
I have seen enough reviews of the Blendiful to deduce that the texture of this product must be a lot softer. It costs a mere $18, which isn't bad considering the Blendiful pack comes with a full-size and an adorable heart-shaped mini.
But if you are someone who still need to get used to using a makeup puff, then maybe the right thing for you to do is to get a cheaper but not quite the same quality in the same makeup round puff I used. They cost a mere $9 in Amazon, and it comes in a pack of six rounds and a small zipper laundry bag where you can just throw it the makeup puffs in the wash.
However, if you feel you are ready to give the innovative Tati Beauty Blendiful a try, then do check them out! They are more cost-effective than the Beauty Blender.
